SUNDAY'S BEST

wearing: vintage overalls from yan, tank from asos (here). gifted sunglasses (similar here)

This is what my weekend looked like. Enough tea to keep me up all night and because we couldn't fully commit to "light lunching", half a burger for dessert. Was practically melting even in overalls and a tank, and am missing winter already! Also shot some outfits earlier in the day with the talented Lauren Engel, excited to show you guys!

WALKING ON A DREAM

wearing: mom's jacket from kookai, nastygal top, shorts from reetail frenzy, shoes from beginning boutique, wang bag. Photos by my mom :*

Quick post! Back in my favorite corner of the roof before i shoot some fancy photos this weekend because exams are over so i'm basically in holiday mood (what grades? what universities?). These shorts are so frolick-worthy and feel like you're not wearing any pants (the deception) which is perfect for the sweltering hot summer days in Hong Kong. Reetail Frenzy is the brainchild of a friend, and if you're in HK/asia they stock some cute items and beauty products that aren't available here (eyeing the urban decay naked palette) so check them out if you'd like!

COSMIC LOVE +GIVEAWAY WINNER

wearing: top c/o Market HQ, shorts c/o Choies, boots from Asos. Photos by Natalie

Simple things with a twist. Multi-colored specks make it less obvious when i spill things on my clothes (guilty, but speckled black is the new black), shoulder ventilation is optimum and who knew running shorts could be so light-reflective? Result: an all-in-one all-black sequined+speckled number for those gloomy spring/summer days when Hong Kong decides to fart pollution in our face and be humid, dry and wet all in the same week. Yep, transitioning can be fun when your butt is bedazzled.

P.S. The winner of my bunny be cool giveaway is Christine Song! Congrats and you'll be contacted via email directly. You guys seem to like giveaways to i'll try to get more of those in, so fear not those who didn't score the necklace this time around. Good night!

SUDOKU +MARCH-APRIL VIDEO DIARY

wearing: top from Taipei, jeans from One Teaspoon, c/o Beginning Boutique (avail. here), boots from AsosPhotos by Natalie

Loving all things cropped paired with low waisted denim and since summer's coming up so is the acceptance level for navel-baring apparel. Of course, one must refrain from eating to a 'food baby' level (thereby steering clear of the ubiquitous 'food coma') unless you enjoy strange looks from sitting MTR passengers. I'm almost giggling to myself at the paradox of this outfit title as i am neither good (or maybe even average) at anything to do with numbers, though i did have a small sudoku fling in the summer (well behind me, worry not). And of course my trusty photographer and mutual pizza lover Natalie is able to make even the biggest denim holes look classy- bow down, friends.

Oh, and i compiled a few short clips from the last 3 months into a march+april video (though it's already half-past may). Let me know what you think and whether you'd like me to make more! (P.S. some footage of me getting my hair cut off...haha)

AMERICAN APPAREL @ LAB CONCEPT

photos: 1 by Christing C, 4&7 by Lab Concept, 2&6 by Kevin Steinberger, rest by me.

Last friday night i attended the opening of American Apparel's 'shop-in-shop' in Lab Concept. It was so lovely meeting the AA team as well as the nice models and being dressed by American Apparel for the event (Thanks so much Olivia!). If you're in HK i'd recommend stopping by the shop for some of the exclusive Hong Kong opening items such as the Asia tie-dye cities bag and two tops of the cat print i'm wearing, as well as their perfect basics.

P.S. I'm wearing the AA exclusive Hong Kong cat print sleeveless shirt, zip leather pouch and light denim easy jeans.

THE DENIM SHIRT PT. 2

wearing: denim shirt c/o 7 for All Mankind, bodycon skirt from Blackmilk (thanks Bry), striped crop top from Asos (similar here), leather zipper skirt from NastyGal, denim shorts from MarketHQ, leopard jeans from Cheap Monday (here), watch from casio (similar here), boots from AsosPhotos by Natalie

And here they are, the second batch of looks with my now-trusty denim shirt from 7 for All Mankind's '7 ways to wear 7's' blogger campaign. This has got to be one of the easier styling challenges as i can pretty much pull out any bottoms from my over-cluttered pig-sty slash closet and have myself a fail-safe casual outfit for any occasion. If i ever had to dress with only 10 pieces in my closet, this would be a sure win.

Oh, and i caved and got an ask.fm account. So ask me stuff here!

HIGH RISE

wearing: wire knit c/o Market HQ, dress and felt hat c/o Beginning Boutique. Photos by Natalie

Conquering an ironic fear of heights (i have a foetal-stage thesis that more people above average height are in fact, scared of heights) by standing on a very-collapsable water box is exhilarating in ways that standing on the floor could never satisfy. Thought that the grid on my dress and sweater would somehow correlate with the buildings and windows, but some ideas (and foetal-stage thesis topics) never really work out huh. At least i got down or it would have been a weird newspaper headline to have fashion blogger and water box accident in the same sentence (plus the threat of angry neighbors is nigh with a building full of seniors...i live my life in the fast lane.)

P.S. Exams start tomorrow! Wish me luck :S
