wearing: top from nastygal, skirt c/o olive clothing, vintage sunglasses, nike high tops, pearl bracelet and nail polish from topshop, rings from h&m, watch from casio. Photos by my sister!
Alas, fall time makes a late arrival this year, meaning i'll have to bid farewell to my frolick-y summer pieces within the next few weeks and say hello to sensitive skin, shorter days and the daunting aspect of a cold toilet seat. For me, this means i'll condense every pastel/floral piece into my daily wear to preserve that last drop of hong kong humidity, so what could be more spring/summer appropriate than this Monet waterlilies-esque skirt? My whole summer wardrobe this year has consisted of tailored skirts + high tops so i think Claude would approve.

ReplyDeleteYou look so artsy and fairytale gorgeous Zoe!
Even though I may say this all the time, this is definitely one of my favorite looks that you've ever posted!
The romanticism is just so breathtaking and the jarring juxtaposition is too fascinating to be overlooked.
That first photo is a masterpiece. You look like a MEGA MODEL and the vibe of the photo is so soft and floaty.
Your blouse is structured and soft in a marvelous way that brings to mind delicate origami foldings combined with ethereal pieces of silk. Drapey and fluid, as if there is superfluous, but also so intentional and compact.
That skirt is, to put it simply, a dream. Watercolor flowers? Heart!
To such a feminine outfit, your Nike hightops add the right amount of "now". Funky, clean, and very contrasting. The effect is that there's this overload of ideas, the two sides of the spectrum blending to formulate one very happy medium.
Delicate jewelry and pastel nails complete everything, discreet but yet noticeable.
Additionally, there's those sunglasses. They may be unobtrusive but they definitely pack a punch. Tortoise to contrast with the flowers of the skirt and round to add the to organized free-flowingness of the outfit.
Zoe, you work it girl!! <3
